Certainty is an illusion

Usually my posts are full of inspiration, positivity and now? Here I am with the ultimate truth: There is no such thing as certainty these days. illusion

The world is moving very fast, things are improving – or not (depending on your point of view).

Today you have a job but tomorrow things can be so different. Today you are married, and tomorrow you may be getting divorced. Who knows but hopefully not.

If we are honest, we all know there is no such a thing as a certainty these days. Despite knowing that certainty is only an illusion in life, we continue to strive for it because we want it so much.

Old happy times

I often like to reminisce about those magical moments from my childhood, when I was able to play all day long with no worries at all. Those carefree days when I was playing and discovering new things with no concern about the ups and downs.

My parents still remember the old days of communism back in 80’s when they had a type of job security. Under communist rule, everyone had to work – it didn’t matter if you liked your job or not you had your job until you received your pension. This is obviously a good example of job security but not a good example of freedom of choice!

Thankfully those days are gone, and many more people have the freedom to choose but along with that freedom comes the uncertainty that plagues us all.

There is a solution

There is a solution to the worry of uncertainty; the solution is to learn how to handle uncertainty by becoming the co-author of your own life! If you become the co-author of your own future you will be able to create your own opportunities. By learning how to think differently you will be able to respond to all surprises.

Life will always have unexpected moments, but you will be better equipped to deal with them. You do not need to be helpless any longer, reacting to situations when you can change your outcomes.

My journey of learning uncertainty

On my own journey I have learnt that I had been living on my memories of certainty; those memories while pleasantkeys and comforting, were holding me back.

My memories had become my vision on which I based my life, but it was a faulty, based on the memories of a carefree child rather than life I wanted to experience.

I was too worried and too afraid to become who I really am, to do or try anything different. The fear of losing my greatest treasure, the people closest to me – my family and friends.

I was worried that I would cause a rift between myself and my loved ones by becoming somebody different from them. I had no idea whether I could handle a new chapter in my life with all of the uncertainty and the worry that I was not good enough.

By not understanding what was happening and because I didn’t know why I acted as I did, that faulty vision of loosing my security was all and only in my head.

Eventually I realised and learnt: I would have to learn how to handle uncertainty – If I wanted to become who I really am.

Maybe you are out there with similar blocks as I was. Maybe you feel you deserve more than what you are getting – you work hard and are still not achieving what you can want.

Then click here and let’s find out your unique path so that you can live life you truly deserve.

P. S.: You can have all the power over the uncertainty that is out there by learning how to think.
