One day or…?
Do your wishes sound familiar?
- One day…everything will change
- Don‘t worry, it will change… one day.
- I‘m just having a bad day… a bad season.
- I just need to work harder and on and on.
Do you think like this sometimes? Do you hope your wishes will come true one day? Do you wait for better days only to realise that another year has passed and nothing has changed… no miracle has happened… no prince on a white horse came to rescue you? Darn it! – where is he?
I eventually realised that my prince had got himself lost somewhere… Eventually I learned – it was up to me to create my own miracle and rescue myself!
Life lesson no. 1
So typically for me, I made a drastic decision; I left everything I knew behind me and moved to another country! Looking back I can see that this was when I learnt my 1st important lesson – life is the same everywhere unless you change.
I had moved so far, left family and friends, I moved my body but my mind, my thinking was the same. So I did what I knew the best. I got new job, I received my salary and paid my bills, saving, working extra hours and hoping that one…
I used to think “If I work harder and save more, if the boss would just like me better, if the company did well and if there were no more financial crises…“ if… if… if… I experienced many if‘s but somehow still hoped that “ this time“ it would be different.
Life lesson no. 2
Not long after I arrived in the UK I got my 2nd important lesson – three family members who I was very close to, all passed away in a few short months.
If you have experienced something similar, I‘m sure you‘ll know that your whole life can feel like it has been turned up-side-down and you realise that life is short. I really hoped that my loved ones had died with no regrets about how they had lived their lives, that they had lived their dreams.
No regrets
It got me to thinking… death can happen to any of us at any time and I knew I just had so many hopes and dreams that had not happened yet. Did I want to have regrets when I passed… regrets that I had not lived my life to its fullest?
I have no idea how much time I will be blessed with but every moment I let go is lost forever. There are no do-overs, there is no pause button, no reverse and no“ wait I’m not ready“ – TIME WAITS FOR NO (WO)MAN.
Set up your priorities
At this point I knew I had to make my dreams a priority. I couldn‘t put them off any longer, while I existed in my everyday life. I had to put a priority myself!
Have you heard the following saying “Be careful what you wish for“ or “May your wish come true“ My wishes were big – I was wishing for everything! I wished to be able to live my life to the fullest.
Living life to the fullest
What does it mean? What does it mean for you?
So my transformational journey had begun…
The more I was digging in, the more layers I was pealing off. With each layer was removed the limiting belief causing me pain. The deeper I went, the more I was sure that there was nothing wrong with me at all times or with my life.
Life treasures
I found out that I already have all what I need and this was true the whole time. I also found out that I am simply perfect as I am. There is nothing to fix, nothing to repair and nothing to change. I also found out that anything you are after or chasing, you can already experience now.
Especially I learnt that there is nothing wrong with wanting more. More money, more love, more of everything. Growth and contribution are spiritual needs which help us to magnify of who we are already.
