The story of my life
Leaving behind the old and creating something new isn’t always easy.
Bridging these two worlds and navigating transformation has been the story of my life.
Moving from the comfort of the known into the excitement of the unknown can feel exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. Destruction and creation – this is the rhythm of life, the natural cycle we all go through.
Push pull dynamics
Recently, a dear friend called me as she was about to leave her job. She knew change was on the horizon and that something better was waiting.
But the fear of the unknown still left her feeling paralyzed, despite the awareness that this transition was for her highest good.
This push-pull dynamic has always fascinated me – the idea of bridging the old and new with ease and confidence. Is it even possible?
Confidence in the growth
I found some of my answers in Asia, particularly in Singapore, a place that beautifully embodies the harmony between the past and future.
It’s a city where history is preserved, but also where new, innovative ideas flourish.
Old buildings are restored while modern architecture rises alongside them, all while staying deeply connected to nature.
Known as a “City in a Garden”, Singapore has managed to balance nature with technology, past with future, and tradition with forward-thinking progress.
How has one small country risen so quickly, with such resilience? How have they been able to adapt to challenges while maintaining confidence in their growth?
It's about what you choose to see that matters
Witnessing this blend of old and new reminded me of life’s transformative processes.
We, too, can honor our past while embracing what’s to come. The key is in releasing resistance – the same resistance we often fight when change knocks on our door.
This is what Singapore taught me: we don’t have to choose between the old and the new. Both have their place in our journey.
When we honor where we have been, we open space for what’s next, and this transition can be filled with ease.
You, too, can experience this sense of ease as you transition into what’s next in your life.
At the end of the day, it’s not just about what you are looking at: it’s about what you choose to see. that matters
